It’s been quite the ride for Mike Dorosti so far during his first run as Heavyweight Champion. After defeating the monstrous Karou in May to become champion, Dorosti has been riding high on the euphoria of seeing one of his childhood dreams through to fruition. He wears the gold proudly, but a new challenge beckons.
As was reported here, Randy Reign unceremoniously attacked the champion on the June Battle Arts Professional Wrestling show in the Don Kolov Arena, and he has aligned himself with the man who now owns the building within which Battle Arts Academy resides, Pasquale di Papa. This supposed landlord and a vengeful Randy Reign are after Dorosti’s title, and that means enough trouble for the champion, but unfortunately for him they’re not the only ones!
The former champion Karou has yet to receive his obligatory rematch for the title as the maniacal leader of The Compound, Buck Gunderson, made clear to everyone on the July 23rd show. It was then, as all three men stood face-to-face in the ring, that the match was made by Anthony Carelli for Summer Heat. On August 27th, 2016, it’ll be a Triple Threat Match for the Battle Arts Heavyweight Championship, as Mike Dorosti, with Ray Bernardo in his corner, defends his title against both Randy Reign, with Pasquale di Papa in his corner, and the former champion Karou, who will surely have The Compound lurking not far behind.
